Examples of Niche Market Products

Here is a question I hear all the time about locating niches, It will normally go a little something like; “Grrrr! I don’t know where to start? Can you give me examples of niche market products and where to find them…”?This is oh so very common. The things is, I can relate because I was once baffled by the whole thing and asked the very same question. Well, to this specific question there is no specific answer.
There are many ways to find a product to promote and relate them to niches. The amount of websites you can visit to find a product and product ideas are vast, so in that sense examples of niche market products are almost everywhere. In a lot of instances, products that you may assume too popular can be leveraged by different audiences and their needs.
For example; Ipods and Ipads are widely used to listen to music, surf the net, play games etc etc. However, their practical and efficient applications are useful to a whole range of people, from business professionals, organized students to the gadget enthusiast. With their ability to easily sync, upload and operate various applications and peripherals there uses can be expanded. Being able to connect what these other applications do and how people use them in their lives can give you some ideas for a niche – Ipad keyboards and portable speakers for instance, are just two ideas which can be researched a little further to find niches. Find something popular and investigate it’s uses – this is how you locate niches in a crowded market.
Taking one of my above examples and expanding it, the exact search term for, “ipad 2 wireless keyboard” is an excellent case-in-point. There are over nine hundred and fifty searches per month with under 300 web pages. Creating a review site that compares other similar models are a good way to break into a competitive niche and get ranked for that term.
Niche market products do not have to be obscure/smaller/upcoming/new services or products at all. It’s about matching what people want with something relevant. Find out what people want and give it to them in an informative and helpful manner.
The most widely used sites that affiliate marketers take advantage of are Clickbank, Amazon, Google Alerts, Google products and even some forums and blogs. Forums and blogs are excellent for spotting upcoming trends. People talk about the next best thing often, something which may not be on most affiliate’s radar – the early bird worm.
There is still the assumption that niche market products are obscure or brand new products that have yet to be taken advantage of and this is rarely the case. A niche is merely a market that can be leveraged and or has an audience. When affiliate marketers look for products to promote, normally, the trend would be to search for digital products over physical ones. This is because digital products are much easier to manage. They can be bought and used instantly and any issues with the transaction or product can be rectified much swifter. The profit margins are much greater and learning to deal with customers is not required.
Digital products are; e-books, software, online training programs, music…in fact anything that can be recorded/stored/used digitally is a digital product. Physical products are anything which can be bought and used physically.
